    a more decentralized multi-polar internet that worked. However, that would require a fairly high level of international cooperation. The NSA is fostering an atmosphere that is likely to make that difficult to achieve.

      There's nothing special about most of the backbone being in the US. Our soil isn't magical. But there are routers and servers the world over. Right now. I can use TOR and be routed right to Left Nut Europe.

      As long as my ISP is willing to play with the world, I can stay connected. If my ISP won't then I go shopping.

      The problem is the NSA. I for one applaud any effort to take the marbles out of their reach.
