    and parcel of the same thing. I'm speaking in collective terms, but it's a fact that we have the power to reduce gun violence, we know that because other countries have done it.
    This last event may not be the tipping point, but it will come, and then we will take action and the next generation will have a different relationship with guns and violence.
    It's possible that Sandy Hook was the real turning point, but that its effect hasn't ripened yet. It's possible that this may be the event that completes the "Sandy Hook process", as evidenced by the comments of the trauma center doctor in DC that is getting lots of coverage.
    Thanks for the diary inspiring an active response as opposed to a passive, defeatist response.

    You can't make this stuff up.
