    a dedicated reader, and really actually understood the nature of the series itself.  I enjoyed it very much as well, and trillium is absent here but it's always intriqued me symbolically and literally.  Also, the ironies of the presentation.

    I enjoyed extending my reading from the initial link in this diary to others about the mountain beavers, their primitive history, limited micro-environments, and the challenges to native plants are all quite interesting.

    The revival of moss and ferns is dependent upon how much
    moisture remains whether they go dormant or die.  The ferns are more resilient, of course, because of the root depth.
