  •  Sometimes, with this diarist, it's important... (13+ / 0-)

...not to inject critical historical facts into the comments/dialogue.  The state played a very significant role as far as undermining the social activism of OWS was concerned.

Meanwhile, the state continues to undermine many forms of legitimate/legal social activism and protest, to this day; especially when it comes to issues that encroach upon the status quo's unbridled greed (any issue relating to corporate profits). Nowadays, the state--in the name of engaging in "anti-terrorist" efforts--is much better funded compared to decades past, in terms of guaranteeing the success of their efforts to undermine OWS (and many other types of social activism), as well.

Regrettably, as far as this particular diarist is concerned, when one presents annotated, historical fact into their commentary in response to the diarist's position, the diarist then refers to those fact-based comments as a "LINK FARM," rather than what they are: solid, fact-based information which undermines the diarist's left-bashing stance.

So, well-documented matters such as: THIS, THIS, THIS, THIS, and particularly...
    ...............and THIS...
...aren't allowed to be put forth by the audience for the reader's consideration in the comments of this diarist's posts, so as to provide reasons as to why there are greater truths--as opposed to the diarist's own words--that tell us of a basic reality that is far different than the one the diarist falsely puts forth in their unsubstantiated truth (at that point, the only support for the diarist's "argument" then becomes ego-driven).

So, yeah, there's a damn good reason why the OWS refused to align themselves with either of the two major, captured parties, first time out. And, many understand that...but, apparently, the diarist does not. And, sadly, that's not very surprising, either. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it's just one of many clear indications of how "captured" by the status quo this particular diarist is.
