But I suspect your stuff is less random and more intentional :P. Except what the fox terrierist drags in.

We don't keep stuff like that. One we don't have the money, and two it would just get broken, or the cat would decide to climb the tapestries. I'd love to have some historical items, maybe when the kids are grown and I have a library I can keep the chaos from corrupting. LOL.

fox terrierist.  In a former life I suspect she was a spinster librarian because she is more persnickety than I am.  While I am not wealthy, I find with research, I can find items which are misidentified or else simply not wanted on that particular auction.  I have seen a kris go off for $120 on one auction and another for $1200 on different auction the same day.  As far as that goes, I have seen two identical items go off for vastly different sums as the first one goes off high and then, since there were only two bidders wanting an item, the second bidder has it at his price.

Recently on auction there were 4 items; the strategy was if it would be better to bid on the second or third items or wait for the fourth item.  There could be people "lying back" waiting for the fourth item, figuring the high bidders would all be satisfied or everyone interested could have fought it out over the earlier items.  In that event, the third item was the cheap one
