  •  It's not even about that (9+ / 0-)

It's about their misplaced and massive sense of entitlement as they attempt to overcompensate for their insecurities and perceived inadequacies and other issues with the world. Five minutes listening to someone like Ted Nugent rant about his "rights" tells you all you need to know about THIS peculiar class of gun owners (but certainly not all classes).

      Half-inch dick syndrome.

As soon as I hear the "rights" bullshit, I think "Little dick and can't fuck".

I think it was Richard Pryor who invented that line, which perfectly sums-up.

Carlos Danger don't need no metal gun...

Damn, that was tasteless. I hate it when I do that.

      •  I have to admit (0+ / 0-)

that's the first thing I think of when I run into one of these blowhards. They are obvious by their bluster.

        •  I've point-blank told some of those guys (3+ / 0-)

that I don't worry about their rage or their issues, because on the face of it I think they're cowards.  If you can't walk out your front door without deadly force hidden in your jacket, in this country, it's because you are the complete bitch of your fears and totally owned by them.

They do not like being told they're cowards.  So I make sure to do it loudly.
