I'm not really trying to ask a "personal question" and I apologize if that's how I come across.

I do thank you both for the explanation.

I guess to me it was more why was that statement so necessary to make here? Like so all of us know that just because Starbucks doesn't want guns in the store, you will do it anyway, why do we all need to know that? But then I guess it was just a political statement, and this is kind of the place to do that... so sorry if I seemed overly hostile.

But in truth, the statement from Starbucks isn't really geared toward people with concealed firearms anyway, at least I don't think so. They seem more worried about people feeling intimidated because someone has it clearly on their holster front and center as a political statement.

I apologize if I don't come across well really, things have been a little crazy in my life and I'm on edge, I really don't mean to be rude.

There are the people who want to rub their guns in our faces. They open carry guns in public and flaunt them because they CAN and to make statements.

And then there are many people who concealed carry for their own reasons. They don't bother me because they aren't in my face.

Same gun. But one person is being a jerk. The other is minding his own darn business. He just happens to be stopping for a cup of venti triple shot latte like he probably does a few days a week.

FWIW, every open carry person I've seen in Starbucks orders their coffees "medium" or "large."

These are people there to make a point.

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

      •  Concealed carry = pointing guns at other people (0+ / 0-)

On a regular basis if it's carried in a purse or pocket.

        That's a problem, IMHO.
