  •  I think not franchising makes sense. (0+ / 0-)

In n Out, the burger joint, won't franchise, and when you go to one, you get consistently good burgers, great service and clean facilities, even when you're at one of the busiest spots, like the restaurant at the Kettleman City offramp on I-5 perhaps as folks drive home on Labor Day.

I won't go to Starbucks in grocery stores. The coffee tastes diluted. I wish the Starbucks app didn't include them as a Starbucks location, in fact.

And I avoid them in other non-corporate stores as well unless I'm on a long layover or hanging out in a hospital for hours. In both of those cases, though, the perfect quality of my coffee really is a secondary concern.

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.
