but I am not alone am I?  Without organization this is all just academics preaching to other academics.

What the left does very well is "preach". Incessantly. At everyone.

What it does NOT do very well is "organize".

Part of that is because the commies and anarchists have always dominated the left---and they hold as a matter of ideology that THEIR economic/political fight is the only one that matters, and all the others should be subordinate to them.

It has always led to failure, and it always will. It is impossible to organize effectively with people when we think, literally, their struggle is less important than ours, or only has importance insofar as it "radicalizes" them and brings them into our struggle.

Modern bourgeois society is global and covers every social relationship. The fight against it must be the same.

The left has not only not done that, it has not attempted to.  Indeed, it denies the need.

In the end, reality always wins.

          We're quite agreed:

What it does NOT do very well is "organize".
However this has to be said:  Alinsky, Obama, United Farm Workers and African Americans in the Civil Rights movement laid it out.  Organizing is workable and can achieve some important goals.  I also count them on the left even though many goals are not achieved.  I view classic community organizing as an incremental tool and not a revolutionary one.
