    ...had challengers in 2012, but the state is so badly gerrymandered that there's not a great chance of winning.  Democratic and Republican votes for representatives were about equal state-wide, but Republicans outnumber Democrats 9 to 4 in the House.

    Jordan doesn't actually represent Dayton or Wright-Patterson AFB, but the largest city in his district is in the Dayton market.  His district is mostly rural, very conservative and very anti-Democratic.  The City of Dayton and Wright-Patt are represented by Mike Turner, who courts the military vote assiduously (opposing military sequesters, for example).  Even though Dayton itself is strongly Democratic, there are enough Republican ring suburb areas, military housing and rural Republicans in Turner's district to make it an uphill fight as well.

    The Scout Law (trustworthy, loyal, helpful...) is a GREAT liberal manifesto.
