your friends and neighbors.  Just don't use it to promote your "both sides are evil" narrative.

Here's why- after 4 years, people here, on the Left still don't get it that the Medicaid expansion IS the Public Option.  The noise factor here blocked out reality.  We're not fighting to get Dodd-Frank fully implemented because the noise here was all about "sellout" so we missed that the final bill was BETTER than the first drafts.

We do the work the Heritage Foundation types need done by jumping on and repeating misinformation endlessly.  They suck up the corporate money for a job well done, we are so "betrayed" and disappointed we're useless.  They win, we think we're doctrinally superior and ignore their win, the 99% suffer and we take no responsibility for our part in it.

I'm not looking for a love that will lift me up and carry me away. A love that will stroll alongside and make a few amusing comments will suffice.

    •  yes, I am outraged (0+ / 0-)

I am outraged that the Dem Party, the presumed champion of the poor, cuts their food stamps instead.

And I am outraged that apologists like you make excuses for it.

Anyone who cuts food stamps for the poor is evil.  Period.

      •  And I'm fully outraged about (0+ / 0-)

your lack of understanding of what I said, so we're even in the outrage wars.  Isn't that special?

Here's the bottom line:  no final bill yet, no vote yet, no signature on bill yet, a promise to veto any cuts to SNAP funding, a President who is highlighting every insane step they take, Democrats pointing out the luxuries the Republicans enjoy on the taxpayer's dime (all over FB and Twitter as we type) while starving children, active military, vets, and the elderly.  Only in a dystopian fantasy world are Democrats equal to Republicans.

        •  and I will simply repeat: (0+ / 0-)
but even IF we assume your naive assumptions then why should we be waving our arms about the GOPPER cuts to Food Stamps?  That bill has ALSO not been to conference, not been to final form, not been voted on and not been signed either--and presumably Obama would veto it, too.  So why are we waving our arms about it?  If the Dem cuts don't really matter anyway, then why do the Gopper cuts matter?

          Hyper-partisanship rots your brain.  (sigh)

          •  I know, and I'm sorry about the rotted brain. (0+ / 0-)

Somehow it forces me to look at facts, figures, options, nuances, layers, even opposing ideas.  I was sooo much happier when I knew everything, had a clear list of enemies and never questioned my assumptions.
