I really wonder if all these "optimistic" memes that permeate the liberal world, including DKos -- Texas is Turning Blue, Recall Walker, United Citizens can Be Beat, etc -- are in fact insidious conservative/corporate whisper campaigns designed to make us believe a better future is just around the corner. SO many rosy predictions about how great things will soon be (I suspect once ACA kicks in totally it won't be quite as rosy as anticipated by the left), yet I really don't remember any "victories" for our side in  all these situations.
Is this what's happening, or am I just hopelessly expecting an America as great as it once was?

I do think TX is going to turn blue, for instance. I just hope the right hasn't destroyed the whole country before then.

And I wouldn't go near the idea that those are corporate whisper campaigns, that's a little too CT for me. Kind of like the RW strategist who said the other day that all the craziest GOP strategies, like shutting down the government and defaulting on the debt limit, were actually introduced by Democrats in an effort to make the Republicans look crazy.

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."........ "The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." (yeah, same guy.)
