  •  Thank you for covering the poor (13+ / 0-)

I truly appreciate the attention you bring to the issue of Americans struggling to make it through every day with low wages and minimal benefits. That any American has to worry about feeding their family is, in my mind, a truly immoral, criminal circumstance. I personally live below the poverty level and could not survive without SNAP benefits.

I also appreciate the attention you give to the homeless when you are able to with all of the other issues you cover. It happens to be my personal political issue. The fact that 1 in 4 homeless Americans are veterans of our military is beyond comprehension to me.

Anyhow, here's some love from Henry & Eleanor for you.  They're not horses but they are pretty cool all the same. They adopted me in December '07 at the Cleveland Animal Protective League. Henry was quite pushy, I guess that's the kossack blood in his beautiful orange body.

Peace McJoan - and peace to McMom, too. Daily Kos is a better place to be because of you and the work you do.

Makes me want to go hunt up my rescue, Watson, and hug him. Which would just piss him off, so I won't.

And thanks for the kind words. These days, Laura is doing most of the heavy lifting on income inequality, so I give her all the credit. But I'll accept your kind words, anyway.
