    Piracy-to-non-piracy ratios have been studied for some time and more importantly by much less suspect sources. Just try searching "Bittorrent makes up [X] of all internet traffic" to see the varied sources in the field of study.

      what actually is and is not piracy. I'd be inclined to think that the bulk of what travels over bittorrent likely is, but people do use it for other purposes.

        piracy was not a priority, but - wait for it - information. Like obscure documentaries and BBC specials, etc. and other stuff that is not available in the States.
