    I'm a big activist for LGBT cause and identify as bi/trans but I never really considered Aesexuality as part of the spectrum (nor really thought about it at all) but it does make some sense to include it given the fact that it's a unique status for some people.  I personally can't imagine not wanting to have/not being interested in sex but everybody is wired differently and if you can accept people being interested in the same-sex, the opposite sex, or both sexes more or less equally and that's just the way it is, I would imagine that you could also (or should be able to) accept that there are some people for whom sex is simply not a part of their life for one reason or another and that that's perfectly o.k.
