so I guess it's most likely to be seen up here:

The Pueblo was closed yesterday for funerary rites, so he spent the afternoon mowing. He has an old pair of protective earphones that he wears, and they're actually really cool - they have a radio in them, so he listens to UNM's public radio station while he mows.  On Sunday afternoons, from 1PM to 4PM, it's "Singing Wire," Indian programming developed and broadcast by and for Indians.  It can include everything from music to news to interviews to a talk-radio format.

    And yesterday, he was appalled.

He said that most of the three hours was spent with Indians discussing the Cowboys v. the [Redacted] (which is how we refer to them here at home now; when we don't simply call them the Washington Racists, that is).  One Indian opined that he'd like to have frybread in the shape of the Dallas Cowboys star.  WTF?  An Indian Cowboys fan?  yeah, we know they're out there, but still.

But far worse was the reaction to the Washington team.  Apparently, the vast majority of callers were huge Washington fans,s imply by virtue of the name, and talked about wanting the 'Skins to beat the Cowboys, because "Go 'Skins!" And much worse.

He's pronounced himself "baffled."  I think he has other words for it, too.  He's contemplating starting a campaign to get "Singing Wire" to start educating people on what that slur of a name really means.

meanwhile, here at home, we're celebrating the fact that they're 0-3.
