..but might unless these two "weapons" can both be exposed as "job killing" gifts to outdated dirty industry:

Republican strategists say they see Obama's climate rules as a huge political liability—and they are raring to use climate policy broadly as a weapon against Democrats in the 2014 midterm elections.
"I'm looking at data in competitive House races that shows that this sucker will be a loser," said Brock McCleary, a pollster for the National Republican Congressional Committee. "If in 2014, Obamacare will be the right jab, climate policy will be the left."

     - emphasis addded

That dynamic would essentially revisit the top two lines of attack that House Republicans used to win a landslide majority in 2010.

Get your husband out of the mines and into a high paying job with a future!

Future Jobs are in clean tech - renewables:

..revenues from renewables outstrip those from new nuclear and fossil fuel plants combined, even if nothing more is done, and are nearly double when the world takes serious action. Could there be any clearer demonstration of where the future is?
For Dems  Sens. Mark Begich of Alaska, Kay Hagan of North Carolina, and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana; Reps. Bruce Braley of Iowa and Gary Peters of Michigan; and Secretaries of State Natalie Tennant of West Virginia and Alison Lundergan Grimes of Kentucky. Rep. Nick Rahall or other coal country folk clean high paying Jobs are waiting fo you - starting whenever they stop shilling for Big Coal

    That's the counter punch

So even those republicans that lie about caring for Joblessnes can this time tell the truth:  renewable energy sources not coal will provide the good paying jobs - again - starting whenever they stop shilling for Big Coal

Also too energy corporations stand to gain increased revenue share too - not my concern - but for republican voters the spin that corporations are job creators - It works too

Also: Turning down a clean high paying job? Now that's crazy

    Thx MB
