Recently finished the audiobook version of Simon Winchester's Outposts: Journeys to the Surviving Relics of the British Empire.  I really enjoyed this book.  The title is self-explanatory.  One result of this book is that I now have a bucket list destination in mind if I ever win the lottery - Saint Helena Island  off the African coast.

Finished reading Hugh Howey's Second Shift - Order.  This is part of the Silo series of books and is part of a prequel trilogy to Wool.  Very good read.  In fact it was so good, I downloaded the kindle version of the the followup Third Shift - Pact  and immediately plunged into that one.  Basically what Howey has created is one gigantic saga that is being told in non-linear fashion.  Wool is placed in the middle of the saga and the 3 prequel books (First Shift, Second Shift and Third Shift) go back to the beginning of the saga.  The end of the saga is coming out very soon (Dust).

Finally almost done with audiobook version of the latest Dan Brown book, Inferno.  Another fast-paced book from Brown.  I think it's very good with some decent twists and turns.
