Not a lot of people peeling back the onion on this turnout problem.

Give the base something. Fight, even if you lose. Give the base motivation to fight.

But the Democratic Establishment frowns on doing that. There's always excuses, always the fear the other side.

But if the base gets nothing, then why get up early for work/school, take a long lunch break, or try and leave early for work/school to vote for a Democratic candidate on a Tuesday (or weekends or whatever if you live in an early voting state) who didn't give you a reason to vote for them?

The solution is simple. Stop blaming the voters who don't show up. Start coming up with policies that are going to motivate those voters. This is all too easy. But the Establishment continues to whine and complain about voters not showing up in midterms.

The Grand Bargain must be stopped at all costs to protect the 99%.

    •  The sound of applause. (0+ / 0-)

If I listen to politicians long enough, I start to believe that electorates are switched in and out on a regular basis, making it impossible to know who the voters are and what we need/want.

LG: You know what? You got spunk. MR: Well, Yes... LG: I hate spunk!

It is always someone else's fault.

Well, I am sick of their damn excuses.
