    over them. Wheee!

I tried to go online to find a similar bear head...but when I searched “Big Bear Head” it gave me a San Diego craigslist ad entitled “Big Bear needs some quick head now” and then I just decided to never go on the internet again.--Jenny Lawson

    •  Yeah, but LOOK at the freight rail system! (3+ / 0-)

Best in the world, maybe.  Digging coal from the Powder Basin and sending it all over creation.  Oil from Canada shipped all over in tanker carss for export.  Distributing all the cr*p we import from China into ports in LA, Oakland, Seattle, Houston, Norfolk, Baltimore, NY, Boston, and sending it all over the country.

But run some passenger trains north/inland from the Gulf Coast when there's a hurricane to evacuate people?  Compare and contrast the IH-45 northbound traffic jam that was 250 miles long, one-way, from Houston to Dallas before/during/after Hurricane Ike.  Don't forget the evacuees from a Houston-area retirement home who died outside Dallas in a fire on a poorly-maintained bus that was carrying their oxygen tanks and caught fire from overheating.

I'm part of the "bedwetting bunch of website Democrat base people (DKos)." - Rush Limbaugh, 10/16/2012 Torture is Wrong! We live near W so you don't have to. Send love.
