    It's bad enough that the Koch brothers are promoting proto-fascists. We don't need to join them.

    Even if these candidates don't win, they energize the conservative base and push the Overton window ever further right. Then the next time they might run a slicker but even more extreme candidate under more favorable circumstances, and win.

    Trying to outrun the Republicans in a race to the bottom is a fool's errand, and it's extremely destructive to democracy and the democratic process.

      You simply get them on the ballot. You don't run their election. What's the alternative? The numbers show that Democrats will not be able to win back the House for at least a decade. Especially with Republican redistricting. I can't take another 10 years of this.
