"Actuaries at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, who don’t answer to the White House, said yesterday in the journal Health Affairs that costs eased because of the economy, not Obamacare. … The report also contradicts independent economists who had attributed spending reductions more to the Affordable Care Act and changes in the health system, such as shifts in employer benefits. The CMS actuaries, who track medical spending by the government, individuals and insurers, examined 50 years of data and found no evidence of costs deviating much from the economy."

      listen to their podcast?

They said they think it may be a combo of recession and ACA....nothing was certain in their opinions.

since day one. Yet during his reign over 10% of Medicare payments went out the door as pure fraud and he never mentioned it or perhaps cared about it.

So that shows me he doesn't know or want to know anything about what is being spent and how. That office and a few others have said it is because of the economy before, that was causing people to cut back on spending for care but that should not affect Medicare and Medicaid patients.

The economy is doing better since 2010 and costs are still slowing  down.

      Any rate, we shall see.

I'm asking you to believe. Not in my ability to bring about real change in Washington ... *I'm asking you to believe in yours.* Barack Obama
