Well, I've nothing against it, because mammals are mammals and it's just too arbitrary to discriminate against other cultures for doing what they do.

But the restaurant had a lot of good things to order besides (really hot dishes) that were good.

The Chinese, probably the ones that spent a lot of time in America, like to joke about the dog thing a lot, and make fun of themselves, or brag, I don't know how to describe it.  I heard some funny ones but they are not funny if I tell them!

One saying I heard in Los Angeles, a guy from some Southeastern country was "lecturing" my boyfriend, who was a white republican by the way, we were in our early 20's about how Asians treat their elderly better and Americans treat their pets better.  He told us

"eat the pets, take care of the parents" or something like that.

It was better the way he put it.  My boyfriend, innocent guy at the time, just nodded politely ;)
