I refuse to watch MTP, but I caught a moment while watching MSNBC's replay.

I could be mistaken, but I thought I heard him say that he wouldn't vote for refusing to raise the debt ceiling over Obamacare. But in his answer he mumbled that he could vote to not raise the debt limit of other issues. Of course Donald Duck didn't even notice it and let him off the hook. As if he would be responsible for not letting the nation default.

I say we let the drunk thieves shut down the government. Let Wall Street deal with these superstitious ignoramuses.

If they still let the nation default, Obama should tell them, fine, let it crash. Let all the bank accounts and 401ks close forever. Once we're all equal in the eyes of God and and Equifax, promise to begin redistributing the nation's wealth. Beginning with Detroit.

    And then I woke up.

What is so unnerving about the candidacy of Sarah Palin is the degree to which she represents—and her supporters celebrate—the joyful marriage of confidence and ignorance. SAM HARRIS
