  •  These idiots are marching right off that cliff. (0+ / 0-)

Issa and his scum bag friends in the house are the reason this country truly needs a one party rule of government for at least the next eight to ten years following the 2014 election. Democrats need to make this that mantra -- one party rule is better than the current dysfunction we're witnessing.

I think there's no question the Democratic Party will win a number of seats in the House of Representatives in 2014.  The question is, how many?

Right now, I'm tracking and seeing quite a number of seats held by the GOP now which in 2012 that didn't get a Democratic candidate then which are now getting a Democratic candidate.

Paul Broun's district in GA-10 has a Democratic candidate.

Dennis Ross's district in FA-15 has a Democratic candidate.

Even Tim Huelskamp is getting a Democratic candidate in KS-01 although that candidate is one who has a considerably less profile than most others currently running.

Still, there's a lot of angry folks out there who don't like the GOP or Tea Party right now.  Maybe that's why we're seeing so many Democratic candidates emerge soon and early for 2014.

If only we can convince the DCCC to put their money there instead of behind the ultra-Blue Dog anti-choicer they recruited in Oh-06, which is probably too red to win.

Oh-14 is Ohio's only swing district. The GOP mapmakers didn't protect it because the seat was held by the uber-popular Steve LaTourette. The Democrats didn't run a real candidate because they had more promising shots in four or five other districts.

        And then LaTourette retired.

He was apparently sick of crazy teabaggers like fellow Cleveland Heights High alum Darrell Issa (well, actually, Issa was a dropout and LaTourette graduated). And the pseudo-Democrat who has run here every year since 1998 and always loses in the primary if anyone else steps up, refused to get out. So there's a unknown freshman Republican who is not LaTourette. And we have a strong Democrat, Michael Wager, who is already campaigning his butt off.

Ed FitzGerald for governor Of Ohio. Women's lives depend on it.

        •  What about the following? (0+ / 0-)

OH-06:  Rep. Bill Johnson narrowly defeated then-Democratic candidate in 2012, Charlie Wilson, by less than 6 percentage points.  Current Democratic candidate is Jennifer Garrison.  Oh wait, I've heard she's very conservative/right-wing.  Rats.  Maybe she wins and we primary her in 2016.

OH-16:  Then-Democratic Incumbent Rep. Betty Sutton in 2012 lost to Rep. Renacci by just 4 points in terms of the votes.

On the other hand, it helps to have a Democratic Governor in Ohio, Democratic Secretary of State, Democratic Attorney General and more Democrats in the State Legislature.

    •  Oops! Ross's district is FL-15, not FA-15 (0+ / 0-)

      My bad.
