    I enjoyed it but never thought it was anything more than a pretty good SF novel. Certainly no where close to being in the same league with the ones presented.

    Nothing human is alien to me.

      The writing, at least in the first 18-20 pages, was so stultifying I couldn't breathe.

      Frankly, I was bored unto death...so I put it down. Then I tried again, with the same result.

      After about four times, I decided that it just wasn't worth the effort of even trying again.
