That it is almost impossible to execute change - on economic matters - through the political process.

I believe that change on social policy gets done through the political process - and at the end of the day, rhetoric notwithstanding, that is what voters are voting for and getting.

The political process was designed by the ruling elites to work for the ruling elites - at least as it relates to economic matters. Whichever candidate comes out of that process is going to be so compromised that not much can be done.

The political process, at best, allows the (economically) oppressed majority the privilege of minimizing the damage - not stopping it or changing the trajectory to benefit the majority.

Now, that you have correctly diagnosed the problem - how do we go about solving it?

I have some ideas- but am curious as to your thoughts.
