    Censored.  The Hays code wasn't around yet, so filmmakers had to deal with literally hundreds of different censorship boards around the country.  Pretty much every town with a theater had one.  This made American filmmakers very cautious about "naughty bits".

    Everyone involved knew that Mexican and Spanish audiences didn't have the same hang-ups, so they got away with more in the Spanish version.
