Democratic voters forget about the "Grand Bargin", Chained CPI, and other wrong headed third way neo-liberalism garbage that the administration has put forth. It is a huge blessing for us that these Republicans have been so self destructive and we may just get back the house.

Now when will the White House and congressional leadership start listening to the biggest voting block of their caucus and the only people to routinely put forth sane governmental ideas - The Progressive Caucus?

Are already blaming the president for the shutdown. A couple of them are on furlough over the shutdown and screaming it's Obama's fault. I pointed out this was on the house, blame the speaker of the house, who had the votes to prevent this but chose not to. No reply to that one except 'yeah, can't blame the guy in charge bwhaha'. I pointed out boehner IS the guy in charge on this, and he decided to listen to Ted Cruz and not the people. GOP blows up economy...blame Obama...and how do we get past this? They are too full of hate to listen

advocate for doing everything possible to win the political games we can. Bully pulpit where the President blames the whole R party, names individual Congresspeople, etc. (Which to his credit he has been doing lately, but we've been begging him to do it for 4.5 years.) Congressional votes that pin R Congresspeople down, repeatedly and followed up by as many townhalls/press conferences/etc. by Dems placing the blame squarely where it belongs. Rinse and repeat, all year long. Hammer the message home in as many ways and as often as humanly possible, from all Dems in office and out. Over and over and--you get the idea . . .

... why it is that a law that was passed by Congress and ruled constitutional by the SCOTUS should be thrown out by a President and Senate because a party that doesn't have the votes to repeal it says so?

And exactly what does the ACA have to do with passing a  CR?
