  •  One heartless young relative worked for (9+ / 0-)

Service Master and swore that she saw it with her own eyes when they would go to Section 8 places under contracts.

Whatever.  I don't have an 80 inch TV, but mr. koosah and I saved every bit of gift $$ we were given by relatives and friends for THREE YEARS to buy our 60-inch TV.

Mr koosah also receives SSDI to subsidize his work income because he is permanently disabled.  (SSDI, not SSI Disability).  Should we not have bought the TV?  The haters would probably say NO.  My husband is disabled, for the love of the FSM.  He's in a wheelchair with CP.  About the only thing he really enjoys is TV and that 60-inch screen is the biggest joy in his life since our son was born.

I am sick of them and their sneering contempt for people.  For PEOPLE.

budget and the answer is yes, I have a 15 year old TV and I have internet access and I have DirecTV.  I am also in the process of rehabbing my home (since some places have significant damage) and I also pick up a few exotic knickknacks either as gifts or for the house.  OTOH my last pair of shoes was bought in 1992, I think so it is a matter of spending money where I want to.

It would seem it would be admirable for a person to scrimp and save for a luxury rather than buy it on credit but it seems some folks are determined that the indigent must suffer

for having a few basic amenities?

It was the folks complaining that they have microwaves that got me. That is practically like owning an indoor toilet these days. They're dirt cheap, and 98% of American homes have one. I guess these people would prefer poor people cooked their food over candles.

Ed FitzGerald for governor Of Ohio. Women's lives depend on it.
