  •  CJ will always be missed for being so, so CJ. (12+ / 0-)

    I miss him.

A poem I wrote at his passing:

    10-Mile-Per-Hour Pain

Tornado of Pain, he titled his last
    Painting – a poignant description
    Of the excruciating but always
    Busy hours of his life.
Comes the blow and our own

    Winds pass to stymie us

    Deaden creativity

Halt expression.
    We are
    Pummeled by life’s small

Troubles.

    Stopped.
    In our tracks.

    By ten-mile-per-hour pain.
    Our friend, poet, painter, thinker

Fighter for justice

    Railed against that storm.

    Defied tornadic winds.
    When the drag comes

Pain at 10 miles per hour.

His poems/paintings/life, will blow through me

Like a mad wind of remembrance.
    His never stopping

Never slowing down

Not once giving up or caving in.

Ever.

For  CJ — Rest in painting/thinking/writing with angels.
