    D vs R breakdown, I find the PPP cross-tabs by self-identified ideology illustrative.

    Remembering the the "very conservative" crowd picks the eventual representative in most Republican districts, here are the results for selected questions (>50%) for those describing themselves as very conservative:
    Is Obama trying to take away guns: 74% Yes
    It is easy enough to get away with murder if you have enough money: 64%
    Is Obama trying to figure out how to stay in office past 2017? 57%
    Are Muslims secretly implementing Sharia law? 66%

    And here are the questions where the very conservative crowd comes in between 25% and 50%:
    Has the government assassinated political leaders such as MLK? 30%
    Are sporting events such as the Super Bowl sometimes rigged? 41%
    Are bankers eliminating currency to force everyone into electronic banking, so that cutting the power grid will make us all slaves? 30%

    These are the people who choose half of our House of Representatives.
