  •  Ebooks at the library (4+ / 0-)

for me, I use the library to try out new authors, and for books for home school as well as research for myself. Books that I wouldn't have the money to buy and would miss out on. We also use the library as a family to share books with each other.

For example, I am NOT an audiophile. I can't follow an audio book unless I've read it before in print. My husband and daughter however are low vision/legally blind. Instead of buying 2 different versions of a book (and audio books are WAY out of our price range generally) we'll use the library to get the audio book of a book I've bought or read on Kindle (given it doesn't have text to speech enabled, which is even BETTER). Or, if they're given a book on audio and I want to read it I may take it out of the library if I don't have the cash to buy it.
