    'Hunt for Red October' and Red Storm' were very good.

    After that, it turned to crap. Hired a bunch of hacks to wrote total crap to cash in on his name.

    Also lost respect for the man for his response to Smithsonian Magazine some years back when it did a memorial article on JFK's death. The author contacted numerous famous Americans and asked them for a quote on their feelings about JFK. Clancy said something to the effect that he didn't personally know JFK so it was 'too bad he got whacked' but it didn't really mean all that much to him.

    I was shocked first at his arrogance and lack of empathy and second that the magazine published it.


    When atlatls are outlawed, only outlaws will have atlatls.
