    is that if a group of people who were supposed to be visiting the MLK monument had done the same thing, you know that the news coverage of that would have been significantly different.

    Why should a bunch of old white guys be excused for not observing the barriers placed due to the shutdown? Yeah, I know, the greatest generation, blah, blah, blah. The fact is that they received special treatment and were allowed to do something that they shouldn't have done. Was it a shame that they had traveled to see it? Sure. But what about the many people who traveled to see other monuments or National Parks, or the National Zoo, or the Smithsonian?

    For some reason, this is really bugging me. Almost as much as the fact that those TGOP a**holes were jumping up and down and clapping in their excitement of closing down the government.
