  •  Isn't it funny how (4+ / 0-)

The Federal money that Walker's budget needs to fund state government services is now drying up, while the Medicaid money keeps on flowing?

Puts the kibosh on his can't-expand-Medicaid-because-the-Feds-are-unreliable schtick.

Fake candidates nominated by the GOP for the recalls: 6 out of 7. Fake signatures on the recall petitions: 4 out of 1,860,283.

    •  IF all their Tall Tales (3+ / 0-)

      were actually 'rationally consistent'

they wouldn't have to tell so many dang Lies.

    •  Well, the fact is that dollars are produced by (0+ / 0-)

a federal agency. Either they are printed by the Bureau of Printing or Engraving, or the Treasure transfers electronic bits into bank, individual or state accounts. The states are different. Ever since the Civil War, they do not produce their own currency. For that matter, anyone can issue an IOU. Whether or not anyone else honors it is another matter. A United States dollar is a certified IOU, guaranteed to be recognized by anyone as a legitimate debt, much as a marriage certificate attests that a marriage is legitimate and recognized by a public authority. Both debts and marriages exist, regardless of whether they are certified. Certification gives them public recognition.
Specifying dollars as taxayer dollars or education dollars or gambling dollars makes as much difference as specifying gay marriages or traditional marriages or religious marriages etc. The entity is not changed by who uses or indulges in it. People who don't understand obligations don't get that. Perhaps they don't get the difference between the symbol and the thing it stands for.
