  •  Dear Rep Griffin (R-AR 2nd), today's email... (10+ / 0-)

Below is today's email sent to my Tea Party Republican Congressman Tim Griffin:

    Dear Rep Griffin,

Every day YOU and YOU're Tea Party Republican
co-conspirators in the US House hold the nation
hostage by maintaining the government shutdown,
I become more and more convinced YOU and THEY
    are violating the law.

YOU're a lawyer, how does YOUR behavior not
qualify as seditious acts against the government?

    -------------------------------------

    18 USC § 2384 - Seditious conspiracy
    http://www.law.cornell.edu/...

If two or more persons in any State or
Territory, or in any place subject to
the jurisdiction of the United States,
conspire to overthrow, put down, or to
destroy by force the Government of the
United States, or to levy war against
them, or to oppose by force the
authority thereof, or by force to
prevent, hinder, or delay the execution
of any law of the United States, or by
    force to seize, take,
or possess any property of the United
States contrary to the authority thereof,
they shall each be fined under this
title or imprisoned not more than twenty
    years, or both.

    -------------------------------------

Stop denying you didn't want to shutdown the government.  Your signature is on the letter to Speaker Boehner & Leader Cantor, dtd August 21, 2013, stating in part:

    "...we should continue our efforts
to repeal ObamaCare in its entirety
this year, next year, and until we
    are successful."

Restore government by voting YEA on an unconditional CR.

makes me wonder how good of a lawyer he was.
most lawyers dont like to put things down in writing.

      •  He's a LTC JAG Corps, US Army Reserves ... (2+ / 0-)

During the BUSH  mass firing of US AGs, Karl Rove had him appointd to the Western Dist of Arkansas, serving on ONE MONTH before resigning under pressure from the Alberto Gonzales' fiasco.

As a protege of Karl Rove and a legal adviser to the Bush Campaign, implicated in the 2000 Rep Primary attacks on John McCain, "John McCain fathered a black baby.":

In fact, his new chief strategist Tim Griffin is a protege of Karl Rove, the very man responsible for McCain getting smeared in South Carolina in 2000: including the infamous push-polling calls where insinuations were lodged at McCain that he had an illegitimate black child. Absurd and beyond reproach! But now McCain treads down this low road...
Also, has "Voter Cager" on his resume when working at RNC HQ in 2004.

He's a lawyer with little or no understanding of the law.

Destroying the country by intransigence and just refusing to do your job doesn't appear to violate the statute.
