    depends on temperature.  The higher the temperature, the lower the maximum amount of oxygen that can exist in solution.  

    The presence of biological oxygen demand (BOD) will further reduce oxygen concentrations to the extent of the the concentration of BOD in ocean water [higher BOD will occur from polluted agricultural runoff or discharge of poorly treated municipal wastewater.
