    Wasilla Alaska has a population of 5000, and has a post office.  There are hundreds of offices like this.  

    The only logical way to save money is to target the lowest revenue/highest cost offices, which just happen to be in Red strongholds.

    Postal service should "cave," on the layoffs and target these offices, (by coincidence rural, red districts) closing the offices and selling the property to fund pensions.

    Pretty sure Republicans would quickly discover how much they love the postal service.

    The President has the power to delay funding of (for instance) military contracts until after the debt ceiling is lifted
