she was confused, ordered to stop, panicked, threw it into reverse, hit a police car,

the police officer fired on her

    she sped away

    and was subsequently killed.

unless you think that she was trying to kill a cop with a toddler in the back seat and was able to both shoot at a police officer and drive at the same time.

    •  I didn't see the press conference (0+ / 0-)

but evidently it was reported that they found no weapon in her vehicle. Is this what you are hearing?

    •  Actually, the way you state the case: (1+ / 0-)

I can understand why the police were, well, suspicious of a terrorist act in progress.  You say that "words were exchanged" (from your diary proper), and that she then initiated a collision with her car, and sped away, running red lights, etc.  Hmm.

Now it's easy to imagine she was panicked, and at the point she hit the police car (if not earlier), pure naked survival instinct had taken over.  She may well have figured, not unreasonably, that no matter what she did from that point on, the police would've killed her.  And still, the entire time she's supposed to have had a baby in the back seat?

Assuming your account is entirely correct, it all sounds like a series of mistakes that quickly spiraled out of control.  One still has to wonder how she was "confused" enough to have been driving so strikingly "outside the normal."

Perhaps we'll find out; perhaps we won't.

it is EXACTLY as I told you it was.

If the case happened exactly the way you reported it, then the police don't come out looking so bad.

        •  Yes. It's called "Fleeing and eluding" and it's (0+ / 0-)

something that they go after white people for, as well.

I'd like to start a new meme: "No means no" is a misnomer. It should be "Only 'Yes' means yes." Just because someone doesn't say "No" doesn't mean they've given consent. If she didn't say "Yes", there is no consent.
