        these are great ideas, but they're not laws, and they won't become laws in today's Congress.

        The best thing about Warren being in the Senate is it gives her a platform to speak from.

          Someone does. The actual details of regulations are done by the Executive agencies, but their mandate comes from Congress.

          If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!

            Congress is totally dysfunctional.

            The US has to change for Congress to again be able to do these things.

            Is having Elizabeth Warren in the Senate the best way of using her abilities to achieve this goal?

            Moving the goal posts is no more a legitimate debating tactic than threatening to blow up the economy is a legitimate legislative device.

            Good on you for pushing back.

            People do not judge ideas on their validity except when harmful results are in their faces [...] We mostly rely on social cues which can easily be spoofed.
