    appropriate. The republican in the office that isn't a nut-job is actually the most vocal about telling him to be quiet, but it only helps for a short while.

    Unfortunately he doesn't do it in front of his boss, or my boss (who is his boss's boss and the CIO), and the CIO won't fire anyone for anything short of continuous gross violation of corporate policy. I'm told the last person to be fired showed up drunk/hungover/stoned for three months before they fired him.

    A couple of months ago he got written up for continuing to swear loudly in front of clients after being asked not to by a doctor, so he spent the rest of the day (6 hours or so) singing profanity under his breathe.
