    The government shutdown is simply not reasonable based on any of the excuses the wingers give for it. That's because all those so-called reasons are obfuscation for the fact that they demand to be given political power.

    The shutdown is political terrorism. Why do terrorists attach government? Because they are trying to delegitimate the existing government and then take it over.

    There is no difference between what the Shining Path attempted in Peru or Pol Pot's segment of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia attempted and what the tea Partiers are attempting here in the U.S., except that the police forces in the U.S. can better deal with political violence.

    The use of actual political violence would defeat the tea party purposes, so they are pushing the radical moves right up to the edge.

    In all cases the political terrorism is an effort by a radical authoritarian small group to take over control of the existing government. Their first step is always to delegitimate the existing government.
