is about as useful as the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

Society should throw that waster of taxpayer dollars out of office ASAP.

      •  For the record, all dollars are belong to us. (0+ / 0-)

The Treasury issues them on our behalf. Congress spends them into the economy. Federal taxes return them (as revenue) to the Treasury to be counted and sent out again.
The interposition of the Federal Reserve to distribute dollars to banks, which can then lend them to the Treasury to collect a premium, is a scam. It's a scam that's been working for a hundred years, but it's still a scam.
Categorizing dollars in terms of who used them last is rather useless, if not deceptive. Unlike nautical miles, there's no dimensional difference in dollars in a bank teller's drawer and those in your pocket.
Since every dollar, ideally, returns to the Treasury as tax, they're all tax dollars.
Where the Cons go wrong is in the sequence. They've got it backwards. Gotta spend to get revenue. Give and take. The order is important.

        •  Energy in the universe is constant too. (0+ / 0-)

          All become heat energy eventually.

The Federal budget is based on finite numbers. Every dollar introduced into the economy weakens the other dollars chasing the same goods. If we pumped a quadrillion dollars (i.e one thousand trillion) into the economy tomorrow, don't you think this would be inflationary?

Useful dollars are not limitless. If it were, we could just print more, and everyone could live like billionaires forever. Are you saying this is realistic?

When Darrell Issa uses tax revenue and U'S. borrowings on useless investigations, rather than on expenditures that help the American People, this is a problem.

When Cheney and Bush started the Iraq War, which cost us more than $3 trillion, that was a problem too.

You have no concept of the waste of taxpayer money? What did you get your college degree in?

I'm not sure of the purpose of your post.

          Is this your point?:

You're trying to say that Darrell Issa's use of money is not wasteful, or what?

Currency is a tool, it mediates transactions, much as the alphabet visually mediates the transmission of information and its retention over a long period of time. Any tool can be abused. A pen can be used to write or to stab. A hammer can be used to join two boards with a nail, or to bash in a skull.
The quantity of currency available is not significant, except when some people are deprived of access to use it, just as how many letters are used on this page is insignificant, unless a person has been denied literacy. And, btw, 30% of the U.S. adult population is functionally illiterate. That is no more a happenstance as that people are impoverished.

I want him OUT of our local high school hall of fame.

We have a school board election coming up. I will promise my vote to ANY candidate who will work toward this goal.

Ed FitzGerald for governor Of Ohio. Women's lives depend on it.
