    if privacy issues related to healthcare requires them to use hardware they control.  Either explicitly under the law or based on their policy.

    Per the linked article they are using cloud technology but it is not clear to me if that is private or public cloud or some hybrid.

    It would be interesting to see what the constraints (budget, policy, etc) and design decisions tradeoffs were.  I suspect budget was a significant constraint.

      There are restrictions on sharing healthcare data but they have been in place for many years.

      I read that is running on servers at a private company in Virginia.
