Scott is down at least 10 in polling with a job approval rating under 40.

    He is not even money.

    •  It is without Crist (2+ / 0-)

      Once he declares, I agree.

But he hasn't and I think based on previous beliefs of shoo-in candidates not running (looking at you Brian Schweitzer in MT-Sen) what is a lean D with a preferred candidated can be lean R without.

    •  Crist will destroy Scott (0+ / 0-)

If/when he declares.  Thing is if he doesn't I think it will be a much more difficult race.  Will be interested to see what 200$ mill will buy Scott though against such approval numbers.  I'm thinking around 40% LOL

      •  I worry (0+ / 0-)

That $200M buys some sort of weird third party candidate.  Wouldn't be surprised if Scott was someohow behind the scenes funding a super-duper liberal 3rd party run.

My main worry is Crist isn't all in yet.  He has no reason to dawdle.  Just declare and run hard.  I'm not a hand-wringer normally but for such a vocal critic of Scott's to still be on the sidelines worries/bothers me.
