about his for awhile. I'm live right above Boehner's district, OH4. I have asshole jim jordan for congress. Noway are these two going to get removed unless they are primaried out. A Dem just isn't going to crack these districts yet. An Independent, if they ran on a pro life, pro gun, anti gay platform would have a chance. And if that would happen a decent Dem candidate could step right in...

    •  Well, the vote history isn't great in OH-08. (2+ / 0-)

If a Dem runs, they tend to grab 30-40% of the vote.  If an indie/third partier runs... they tend to get squat.  You'd think the Dem voters would simply vote for them over Boehner, but what seems to actually happen is simply that virtually no one votes for them.

Jordan's sitting on 6-7 million dollars and it just grows because he doesn't have to spend it. I do know if a decent republican primaried him it would put the fear in him. Of course the ORP wouldn't stand for it. Folks I know don't like him, but they dislike any Dem more....

    •  And, btw, keep an eye on the calendar. (0+ / 0-)

Feb 5 is the deadline, iirc, for registering as a candidate as a party candidate; it's a month or two later, I think, if you're an independent.  The 2014 calendar is up on the SOS website.

It'll obviously take a while to gather enough sigs as an independent.
