Of course, this being ruby-red Utah, 21 percent of voters blame Obama for the shutdown. What's interesting is that nearly as many--20 percent--blame Republicans. Only 6 percent blamed Congressional Democrats, while 41 percent placed the blame on both parties equally.
I don't see how that helps anything.

That there aren't even signs of tepid majority support has to be worrisome. It doesn't get much more Republican than Utah.

    •  2/3 still support Lee?! Just proves R's are nuts! (4+ / 0-)

56% don't want a shutdown, but they fully support the people who shut it down.

All this poll proves is that Republicans are completely out of touch with reality.  They can't connect cause and effect.  Almost half the country simply isn't smart enough to keep a democracy alive.

state, these may not seem so good BUT, in 'normal' times, there would be a much higher number blaming Obama and Congressional dems, and a smaller number blaming both.

      Something like this:

      Obama    30%
      Dems      38%
      Both        20%
      Rs           12%
