  •  weight loss via amputation (21+ / 0-)

Is the image I keep coming back to.
I must admit, the idea that the predatory behavior of big capital might be stemmed a wee bit by having their sure cash cow taken away is attractive. But the idea of losing weight is attractive too, until it becomes apparent that the method is amputation of a limb. The teabaggers see the 'weight loss' as less gubmint, and they can't imagine the amputation will involve any limb they might need to use, now or ever. Runt Paul et al define the banality of evil, gleefully and ignorantly wielding their rusty saw blades.

I thought "what a better opportunity to actually have a more efficient and moral system that helps equal the playing field by killing capitalism once and for all, with the bonus of blaming the republicans at the same time!" But then reality sets in and I realize that many people will be devastated economically in the process until we have a better system in place. And in this political climate we'd be in anarchy for a while into the future. Not exactly the situation I want to leave to my children, although I do hope for a more moral/social system for them.
