site - This is a beauty!

More fear mongering during the govt shutdown by the authorities in order to brainwash you into believing you need the government to protect your life.  Folks, just cook your chicken thoroughly and if you're really paranoid, buy chicken from organic/free-range farms.  Big agri-corporate farming with their antibiotics and close-quarters quick coups are causing this.  The government has SPONSORED this through their cronyism.  The government also has a vested interest in frightening the public right now in order to gain favoribility at a time where the government is bloated, arrogant and authoritarian.
Here is a comment by someone with a brain.
Before you can cook the tar out of that poutry you first have to touch it and let it touch your cutting board and knives and leak dead poultry juices here and there. Maybe we should wear rubber gloves to the suppermarket and take them off and burn them just as soon as the still packaged poultry is smoldering in the oven, Aso we might want to burn the bag it and neighboring groceries came in and what about tomorrow morning's eggs? What about peeling that banana that shared intimate space with said poultry at the bottom of the grocery bag. "Dr. I didn't eat any of that chicken. Those chicken breasts are still in the freezer. I don't know where I picked this up". Well the banana peel knows but it aint gonna talk.

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

    •  My young cousin (5+ / 0-)

started working in restaurants (she's now a chocolateir at a chocolate shop in NC) and she read the riot act to all of us as to how we placed food into a grocery cart!

Never place chicken, esp, above anything else, like in the baby seat area near the handle.

of food poisoning here. Both of us with intense abdominal pain and covered with sweat. It's over now, and I consider us very very lucky b/c I have someone here with a compromised immune system.

I think we're not eating any meat or dairy or eggs that doesn't come from our CSA until this is over. I feel for the people who don't have that option.

It was so damned scary when my partner got antibiotic-resistant E Coli in her system two years ago (she's diabetic and the infection was in her kidneys. Scared me to death.)

I tried to go online to find a similar bear head...but when I searched “Big Bear Head” it gave me a San Diego craigslist ad entitled “Big Bear needs some quick head now” and then I just decided to never go on the internet again.--Jenny Lawson
